Happy March, everyone! I hope you’re enjoying this warmer weather and your seeds are all germinating! March has a lot to look forward to, daylight savings, the beginning of Spring, and our last frost date all in one month! Set those clocks forward on Sunday the 9th for that
extra hour of evening sunlight. Remember the Spring Equinox, March 20th, when daylight and nighttime hours meet in the middle, marking the first day of Spring! Check out the Old Farmer’s Almanac page for more information about the changing seasons

Finally and perhaps most importantly, the last frost date for Memphis is March 24th; this is the signal to start getting your plants out into the garden for the year, start seeds in the ground, and get to growing! Have you started any seeds inside yet? Now is a perfect time to get your cucumbers, melons, okra, and squash sprouting for a jump start on the season. Check out the
